Current Initiatives

Independent Sector Forum of Santa Barbara
The Independent Sector Forum is an NSC led initiative to assemble all elements of the nonprofit sector; nonprofit organizations, funders, and volunteers to provide a safe forum to identify, discuss and facilitate issues facing the sector. Included in the membership will be representatives from Human Services, Education, Arts and Environmental organizations as well as the funding community.

The Independent Sector Forum believes nonprofit organizations fill an essential role in building strong communities and a healthy democracy. For humanity to flourish, private initiative for the public good must be preserved and strengthened.
