Ms. Holden has extensive experience in nonprofit management, government affairs, public policy, coalition building, and leadership. She is former Executive Director of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV), a statewide membership organization focused on ending domestic violence. The Governor of Connecticut selected her to chair a 20-member Task Force on Sentencing and Parole. The Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court appointed her to serve on the state’s Public Service and Trust Commission. Ms. Holden earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marquette University and an Executive Education Certificate from the Notre Dame Executive Integral Leadership Program.

Ms. McKean brings superb marketing, administrative skills, and extensive business experience to NSC. During the course of a distinguished 30 year career in the telecommunications and computer industry, she planned and executed major strategic marketing and public relations initiatives. Ms. McKean was educated at the University of Colorado and serves on the board of the Mental Health Association.

Ms. Sandoval’scareer serving nonprofits spans17 years. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center. A lecturer at UCSB, Ms. Sandoval is a Santa Barbara Foundation Katherine Harvey Fellow and graduate of Leadership Lompoc Valley. The co-editor of a book, and author of published essays and articles, she holds a Ph.D. in Education, M.A. in Museum Studies, and a B.A. in Public Relations.

Ms. Fallon has worked in development for the Environmental Defense Center, and helped organized their popular TGIF events. Her love of the environment and animals stretches back to college at San Diego State University, where she earned a B.S. in Biology. She began raising money and educating the community for San Diego Oceans Foundation and the Helen Woodward Animal Center in 2002, and brought her passion to the Santa Barbara community in 2005. Marti is pursuing a degree in Nursing at Ventura Community College.

Ms. Lok has previously served as an organizer for many student led initiatives at University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned a BA in Community Studies. Ms. Lok interned at Third World Newsreel and Youth Channel in New York City where she served as producer and host of a talk-show featuring anti-war youth activists, and facilitated youth media literacy workshops. Ms. Lok also served as a Victims Advocate for United Against Sexual Assault in Santa Rosa.

Ms. Johnson is a 2007 graduate of UCSB where she earned her BA in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations. Her experience includes working as an events manager at the UCSB ticketing office, as an instructor for Kaplan K12 Academic Services, and extensive travel. Her long term goal is to study international and comparative law, earn her law degree and put it to good use on Capitol Hill.

Ms. Fabula earned a B.A. in Political Science from UC San Diego’s Revelle College and has spent a majority of her career connecting government agencies, nonprofits and private enterprises to improve community. Her experience includes working with the Junior Statesmen Foundation and the California State Senate, responsible for coordinating political conventions, organizing legislative health care conferences, securing state budget money for local environmental projects and assisting health care consumers with insurance issues. She currently serves as Board Treasurer of the Nipomo Area Recreation Association.

Ms. Campbell served the law enforcement community in Virginia, both as a police dispatcher and administrative support specialist. She is the former owner and operator a family childcare center and was active in the Virginia Alliance of Family Childcare Associations. Ms. Campbell holds a BA in Psychology from George Mason University. She is pursing a degree in law.

Ms. Conti’s professional background is in journalism, marketing, public relations, and event coordination. She is a graduate of California Polytechnic, in San Luis Obispo, where she received a B.S. in Journalism. She has worked with many nonprofit organizations throughout her professional career and she brings a broad range of business, customer relations, and promotional experience.

Ms. Ramirez first became involved with NSC as a volunteer through Career Camp, a program of the City of Santa Maria. She welcomes you to the Resource Library in Santa Maria. She enjoys literature, music, and film. A student at Allan Hancock College, she is majoring in animal science with aspirations to pursue veterinary medicine at UC Davis.
